Promisify is a small app for making and sharing promises. This page says plainly what it stores and what it does not.
When you first open the app it creates an anonymous account for you. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number. If you later choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we store the name that sign-in gives us so your promises can show who made them. Firebase also keeps the email address that comes with that sign-in; we use it only to check that a binding promise is signed by a real account.
The promises you write: their text, category, deadline, penalty, status, and who they were made to. For a binding promise, also when each of you signed and its record code. These live in Google Firebase (Firestore) on Google's servers. We also store a push notification token for your device so we can tell you when someone marks a promise you made, and counts of your kept and broken promises.
Every promise has a receipt link. Anyone who has that link can see the promise, unless it is private: then the page does not show what was promised. Binding promises are always private. Marking a promise kept or broken happens only in the app. Only share the link with the person you made the promise to. We record that a receipt page was viewed, so we can tell how the app is being used; we do not record who viewed it.
Free users see a banner ad from Google AdMob, which may use an advertising identifier as described in Google's policy. We do no advertising tracking beyond that, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone else. Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play through RevenueCat; we never see your payment details.
Delete your account in the app (Profile, then Delete my account), or email us and we will do it for you. This deletes your account and the promises you made. Promises made to you stay with the person who made them, without your name.
One exception: a binding promise that you and someone else both signed is kept for them, unchanged, because it is their record of an agreement too.
